Solar Pv Installation on Great Barr Sawmills

In December 2013 A1 Solar UK Limited fitted 175 polycrystalline solar panels on our south facing roof.  The system is a 40.85 kW, this means we are producing most of our own electricity to run our cutting shop, hardware shop and offices.  Over the 20 year period we will save and will get paid back from the Governments Feed-in Tariff scheme some £380,000.00 for producing our own electricity.  In effect, we are cutting our carbon emissions with ‘Clean Green Energy’ from our very own ‘Roof Top Power Station’.  This system was professionally installed by Paul Grinsell of A1 Solar UK Limited leading in the field of Renewable Energy along with his team of fitters and electricians.  We at Great Barr Sawmills are so proud of being able to be so advanced in this field of Renewable Energy and puts our business amongst one of the very few ‘Green Sawmills’ in the country producing our own electricity.
